Certified by Google Analytics for Platform Principles

GAPlatPrinciplesCertThis past week, I participated in Google Analytics Academy’s second course in Platform Principles.  This course focused on how the Google Analytics Platform works to collect, configure, process, and report actionable data for any web presence.

The more I think about it, the more I realize this is where digital marketing is really going.  There has to be a discipline of goals and analysis of accomplishing these goals that custom fit the organization.  There are great days ahead for marketing.

Thanks, as always, to the indomitable Justin Cutroni for teaching.  That guy is the heavyweight champion of digital analytics.

Certified by Thinkful

thinkfulcertI’m proud to report that I have completed the requirements by Thinkful as a Front End Web Developer. The course covered HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, jQuery, AJAX/JSON, Git/GitHub, and Fundamentals of Design.  The mentor-based format helped me take my skills, knowledge, and expertise to the next level.  I am thankful for the opportunity and want to single out Ben Miller, Grae Drake, and Bhaumik Patel for all of their help.

Give me a call or contact me to have these skills work for you!

Building Strong Foundations

Site success these days require a site that is easy to read on any device. Desktops are not going to die out.  (Who is going to do Photoshop on a phone?)  Mobile is mainstream and, if the future is any indication, the internet of everything is probably coming in five to ten years.

The bottom line is this: Your digital online presence is one cohesive system.  Therefore, you need a responsive design for this system for two reasons:

  1. Look great on any device
  2. Serve as the source of all of your communications

Here at HonestSiteSuccess.com, we are using Foundation to build smooth, flexible, systems.  To us, that’s the best path for site success for organizations right now in 2014.
